Leading fitness professionals have named the Apple Watch the best health smartwatch that money can buy in 2021, revealing it out-performed other popular items from the likes of Garmin and Fitbit.
Experts from the Australian Institute of Fitness (AIF) said the wearable gadget, that starts from $299, is the best for weight loss, user friendliness and form and content, winning 24.20 per cent of the vote.
The Apple Watch was followed by Garmin’s range of smartwatches, which won 22.50 per cent of the vote and were named the best for improving your overall fitness and learning to run or improving your overall running performance.

Third place was awarded to the popular range of Fitbit watches (14.50 per cent), which offer millions the chance to track their steps, workouts, calories and sleep.
The top five was rounded out by the Whoop Strap (11.20 per cent), which gives a detailed look at your overall fitness level and was named the best for sleep tracking, and the Samsung Galaxy Smartwatch (9.60 per cent).
The survey’s respondents and experts agreed that the most important thing with a smartwatch is that it has user-friendly capabilities such as customisable display features and long battery life.
